Aiding Grieving Kids Not Pie In The Sky For Haine Students
Pie event raised money for Children's Grief Awareness Day.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Haine Middle School students in the Seneca Valley School District recently raised nearly $600 in support of Children’s Grief Awareness Day by selling tickets providing an opportunity to do what every middle school kid dreams of doing: hitting a teacher in the face with a pie.
In addition to the “Pie a Teacher” event, Haine students wore blue on Nov. 16 and created butterflies to spread awareness and recognition of children grieving the loss of a loved one.
Children's Grief Awareness Day is designed to help people become more aware of the needs of grieving children and of the benefits they obtain through the support of others.
