Art and Win: Meet Artist Erin Sloane
In anticipation of the Associated Artists of Butler County faculty show in Cranberry, Patch is featuring a different local artist each day leading up to the event.

Cranberry Patch will be at the opening night of the Associated Artists of Butler County faculty show at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center. The exhibit runs through Nov. 9.

“Poppy,” an original watercolor by Mary Alice Carmody-Diana, also will be raffled off at the event. Attendees must be present to win the artwork, which will be on display at the Patch table.
Today, we feature a profile on Erin Sloane, whose pieces “Potential,” “Totems” and “Making Lemonade” will be on display at the show.

Name: Erin Sloane
Education: Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia
Bio: Erin Sloane graduated from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia. She spent a year of study abroad in Italy at Temple, Rome before coming back to the states to gain her teaching certification in Art K-12.
She has taught at Mars Area High School for the past 15 years. This year, with classes both condensed and compacted, she teaches at Mars Elementary as well, she said in her AABC bio.
