93rd Day of 100 Days of Caring

Junior Girl Scout Ellen Casey from Troop 21525 made homemade crayons to share as part of the Girl Scout 100 Days of Caring.

Junior Girl Scout Ellen Casey from Troop 21525 made homemade crayons from old crayon nibs donated from an art teacher at

She peeled the paper off, broke the nibs into small bits, placed them into mini-muffin tins, melted them, then packaged them and donated them to thekindergarten teachers.

Ellen shared that the best part, besides seeing all the cool colors that were created after melting the crayons together, was giving them to the teachers. One teacher even told her later that her class was very excited to use their new crayons.
