Kids Castle Playground Fundraising Begins—Here’s How You Can HELP!
Get out there and support your Cranberry Kids Castle Playground! Recycle, run or eat your way to donations today !

We have some amazing fundraisers starting in just a few days.
Even if you feel like you can make a direct donation to the Kids Castle, maybe you can find a way to support the playground by visiting one of these local businesses that will in turn make a donation!
April 13, Battery Giant (Rt 19 by Passavant Hospital): www.batterygiantpgh.com

I am actually so glad a business like this has come into town. I have about 27,000 kid toys that take batteries. I have a HUGE jar of used up batteries that I never seem to take anywhere during the right time to recycle.
This place is open daily so I can recycle all those toxic batteries when I remember to put them in the car and remember to stop—Ha!

It might take awhile, but the added incentive of a donation to the playground will be sure to get my butt in gear to get there April 13!
April 13, Megan Durst Memorial 5k Run at Strawberry Ridge Golf Course: http://www.megansmission.org
You can show up and register the day of the event. Check the website for details and times. All the proceeds will go the playground. Work your body and support two very worthy causes.
April 18, Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night
Actually it's all day, but Spirit Night sounds so much better! Twenty percent of all the day’s and night’s proceeds will go directly to the playground. You can even use the drive-thru.
This is only available at the Cranberry Township location so please eat all your meals at Chick-Fil-A on April 18!
April 20, Playtime Palace Closes Forever!
The Kids Castle Playground 5k Run will take place on April 20. We will start at the playground for one last look before it is gone forever. Please visit www.CTCChest.org for more details and to register for the event.
May 5, Quaker Steak & Lube Donation Dine Day
The first Monday of every month is when you can chow down on some tasty wings or fries or beer and have 10 percent of the proceeds of your meal donated to the playground. Everyone needs to eat, so come on and make your meal count!
May 18, Weber Insurance Car Cruise
This takes place in the parking lot of Cranberry Community Park at the new site of the Kids Castle Playground from 12 to 4 p.m. I am sure it will be a nice, sunny day and this gives you a great excuse to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air.
Visit www.weberagency.com or call Weber Insurance for more details.
All of June, Fun Fore All
Purchase a round of golf Monday through Friday in the entire month of June and Fun Fore All will donate $1 for each round. I have four kids so that is $4 every time I take them to play miniature golf.
My co-pay for emergency room visits is $100, so hmmmmm…..I might be out of some serious cash before June is over, but the Playground will win even if I don’t!
Also, please take three seconds to like these facebook pages. They are donating $1 for every like.

It will be the easiest task you will accomplish today!
I know if every person in Cranberry donated $25, we would already have raised in excess of the $250,000 we need for the playground.
But, I understand that not everyone can just write a check—It is fully tax deductible if you were still wavering!
If you really want to support the playground, and have some money set aside for fun (golf at Fun Fore All), or eating out (Chick-Fil-A or Quaker Steak & Lube), please, please, please be sure to spend that money at the places that will make a donation to the playground.
And, of course, stayed tuned for future blogs about how to support our Cranberry Kids Castle Playground.
Stepping Stones for the Playground
Our family will be making our stepping stone that we got for making a donation to the playground. The Iaquinta family (owners of the MOE’s restaurant in Cranberry) already made their stones and made it look very easy.
I have four kids aged 3 to7, so perhaps it will be more challenging and messy for us, but I will take lots of pictures and share all the embarrassing details with you next week.
I also have pictures from the Iaquinta family and will post photos of their stones as well.
