We all know that life is busy for our girls. Between dance and gymnastics, softball and cheer-leading, school and soccer there just doesn't seem to be much free time. But if we told you that the young girl in your life could sign up to be a part of an internationally respected family whose mission is to make the world a better place and is lead by a team of dedicated girls and adults for only $15 a year, would you be interested?
This same $15 a year would give that girl access to adult mentors who focus on building skills for leadership and service that are essential to success in academics and at home. That same $15 would give her access to learning opportunities that include dancing, athletics, first aid, robotics, chemistry, camping, horseback riding and many more. Older girls would have the opportunity to travel to world centers in England, Switzerland, Mexico, and India.
Girl Scouting is much more than just about selling cookies and making crafts but even if it wasn't look at what just selling cookies teaches our girls. Girls learn about marketing, commitment, budgeting, assertiveness and goal setting just from selling those little cookies.
So if you know a girl and she isn't yet a part of the Girl Scout community, maybe now is the time for her to become a part. Please visit our neighborhood Girl Scout page and see what impacts we are making in our community and our world. Then, make sure to fill out the interest form and get started on giving girls the world.
