Cranberry Foundation Launches Penguins Playoff Ticket Auction For Community Support
An online auction for Penguins playoff tickets will support the Cranberry Foundation and community quality-of-life efforts.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — Cranberry Township and the Cranberry Foundation are inviting Penguins fans to bid on playoff tickets in an online fundraiser tied to the first round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. The auction offers two tickets for Game 5 of the Pittsburgh Penguins' first-round series against the Philadelphia Flyers, with proceeds going to the Cranberry Foundation.
Bidding begins at $87, a reference to team captain Sidney Crosby. The seats are in Section 107 behind the net. According to the announcement, the winning bidder will also receive dinner reservations at the Lexus Club and Pittsburgh Penguins merchandise.
The fundraiser is being held in partnership with Cranberry Township. All proceeds from the auction will directly support the Cranberry Foundation and its mission to enhance the quality of life in the community, according to the announcement.

“All of Western Pennsylvania is excited that the Penguins are back in the playoffs, and this is a great chance to not only support our team but to support the wonderful Cranberry community,” said Amy Smith, Executive Director of the Cranberry Foundation. “This is a continuation of the relationship between the Township and the Penguins.”
The auction will close 48 hours before the start of Game 5. The announcement states that if Game 5 is not necessary in the series, the auction and all prizes are voided. The auction is made possible by the Cranberry Foundation, CID Associates Inc., and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Fans also have another playoff-themed way to take part. In addition to the ticket auction, community members can join a “Message in Lights” campaign by submitting Penguins-themed rally messages on Facebook and Instagram.
