Cranberry Gas Prices: Where Is The Cheapest Fill-Up?

For the lowest price at the pump in Cranberry, it pays to have a Costco membership.

At $2.45 a gallon for regular unleaded, the Costco at Cranberry Square Drive near Executive Drive has the cheapest gas in the township, according to GasBuddy.com. If you don’t have that Costco membership, you might want to fill up at one of these locations:

• Sheetz, Ehrman Road at Perry Highway: $2.49

• Exxon, Glen Eden Road at Perry Highway: $2.49

• BP, Freedom Road at Powell Road $2.53

• Marathon, Perry Highway at St. Francis Way: $2.55

The average price per gallon in the Pittsburgh area is $2.52, according to AAA. That’s 45 cents higher than a year ago.

The Pittsburgh average is higher than the $2.48 average across the state, which is higher than the current national average of $2.29 per gallon.

In Pennsylvania, an 8-cent per gallon gas tax increase went into effect in January. The state’’s wholesale tax is 58 cents per gallon, the highest such levy in the country.
