Cranberry To Hold Hazardous Waste Disposal Event

Got some hazardous junk that you want to get rid of? Here's your chance.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A household hazardous waste collection event will be held next month at the township public works building on Route 19. Nobel Environmental will host the event, which will occur July 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Accepted chemicals include paint and workshop products; automotive products; cleaning products; lawn and garden products; pesticides; every type of battery; every type of light bulb or tube; flammables; kitchen and pool chemicals.

Accepted electronics include computers, printers, phones, window AC units, dehumidifiers, mini fridges, microwaves, laptops, gaming devices, and any electronic device with a cord, screen, or circuit board.

Prohibited items include smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, ammunition, explosive materials, compressed gas cylinders, tires, pharmaceuticals, syringes, medical waste, and devices containing mercury.

  • $0.26/ lb for Freon devices.
  • $0.57/ lb. for TVs and monitors.
  • $0.36/ lb. for all other e-waste.
  • $0.57/ lb. for waste paint.
  • $0.62/ lb. for bulbs and batteries.
  • $0.93/ lb. for all other chemicals.
  • $5.50 /ea. for propane cylinders (all sizes)
