Cranberry Township Water Park Sets Luau Lagoon Event

The Luau at the Cranberry Township Waterpark will include games, crafts and visits with Lilo and Stitch.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A day of island-themed activities the Cranberry Water Park is scheduled for later this month.

Luau Lagoon will occur from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

The event is designed as a family-friendly summer program with activities for a range of ages. Guests will be able to take part in limbo and hula hoop contests and visit attractions set up throughout the day, including a photo booth, lawn games and a hands-on craft station.

The Cranberry Public Library is also expected to be part of the event.Library staff will be at the craft station, where attendees can make their own bookmarks and get information about the library's summer reading program, "Unearth a Story."

The program focuses on discovery through reading and encourages participants to explore stories, people and communities. That library partnership adds an educational element to the day while the water park hosts the larger summer event.

Younger children will also have a chance to meet Lilo and Stitch during the program. The township said the character visit is intended to create photo opportunities for families attending the event.
