Cranberry VFD Station Getting $2.1 Million Makeover

Work is expected to begin soon on the station expansion.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Construction is slated to begin soon on a $2.1 million expansion of the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company park station on Route 19.

The expansion project will provide space to permit firefighters to rotate overnight stays, which township officials believe could dramatically reduce emergency response times.

Contractors who will build the expansion include include Tomlyn Construction, McCurley Houston Electric, Hranec Sheet Metal and Vrabel Plumbing. They’ll build a two-story addition to the station along with a basement of approximately 9,340 square feet.
