“Healing Journey,” a Celebration of Cancer Survivorship Featuring Merril Hoge

Former Pittsburgh Steeler and cancer survivor Merril Hoge will be the keynote speaker at Healing Journey, West Penn Allegheny Oncology Network’s celebration of cancer survivorship, set for this Saturday, Sept. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Four Points Sheraton North in Cranberry Township.


This free event, now in its ninth year, is a celebration of cancer survivorship, offering fellowship and education to those who have fought or are fighting cancer.


Attendees may bring a guest. Complimentary breakfast, lunch and parking are provided.

Attendees can expect to be entertained and inspired by Hoge, who will speak about his personal battle with cancer.


Other highlights will include psychologist Paul Friday, Ph.D., presenting “Friday’s Laws” and Kathy Selvaggi, MD, discussing palliative medicine. KDKA-TV sportscaster Bob Pompeani will emcee.
