Marcellus Outreach Butler will be sponsoring a Marcellus Monitoring Training in Butler County on July 13, 2012. Mountain Watershed Association and the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring from Dickinson College have partnered together to provide citizens with tools to monitor Marcellus shale activities in their communities.
This workshop will provide you with information on the science behind Marcellus shale, locating drilling sites, visual assessment, and water monitoring. Water monitoring equipment will be made available to those interested.
This event is free and open to the public. Citizens in areas where Marcellus shale extraction is occurring or proposed are encouraged to attend.
