Haine Middle School Gets New Principal

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The Seneca Valley School district has appointed Erin Mazer to be the new principal at Haine Middle School. Mazer had been assistant principal at Seneca Valley Intermediate High School since 2017.

Mazer succeeds Cassandra Doggrell, who accepted an administrative position in the Upper St. Clair School District.

Mazer, of Cranberry, has been with Seneca Valley for two years. She has assistant principal and assistant school administrator experience in the Montgomery County Public Schools in Rockville, MD. She also has experience as an academy coordinator and teacher with the MCPS.

β€œI am extremely honored to have the opportunity to serve students, parents, and staff as the new Principal of Haine Middle School,” Mazer said in a district release. β€œI look forward to building upon the wonderful traditions of excellence both in and out of the classroom.”

Mazer has a bachelor's degree in biology education from Pennsylvania State University, and a master's degree in educational leadership from Hood College in Frederick, MD. She currently is a doctoral student in the University of Pittsburgh's educational leadership program.
