Haine Student's Drawing To Be Published In Professor's Book

The fifth grader provided an illustration for the book, "Why Did Daddy Have To Leave""

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Haine Middle School student Joshua Wolford appears to have a bright future as an illustrator. He’s only in the fifth grade, yet already his work is about to be published.

Joshua’s artwork was selected to appear in the upcoming children’s book, “Why Did Daddy Have To Leave?" by Robert Snyder, a Slippery Rock University professor of elementary education/early childhood.

Snyder visited Haine last year and started a contest for students to create an illustration for the book. Joshua’s entry was selected over submissions from more than 46 different schools from across the nation, according to a district release.
