Inspirational Author to Share Her Miraculous Healing After a Near Death Experience

In 1981, Katherine Valentine, a Connecticut housewife and mother of three small children, came home to die after a yearlong bout with thyroid cancer and parathyroid transplants that refused to take. But something extraordinary happened that night. She had a Near Death Experience and stood with God who asked her to deliver two messages to the world. When she awoke the next morning, she was completely healed, a healing that doctors could not explain.

“There was never any doubt that what I had experienced was real, not just dream,” Valentine states. “But what I couldn’t understand was why did He choose me? I was a lapsed Catholic who had a hope that God was real but no real faith in a living deity. Surely there were far more qualified people than me to share His messages.

“Then there was the question of how I was going to ‘tell the world’ anything. I was just a housewife not a religious figure.”

In 1993, Katherine met University of Connecticut professor, Dr. Kenneth Ring, an acknowledged authority on Near Death Experiences. Ring introduced Katherine to others who had NDE’s. But, although these meetings helped to validate her experience, she felt there was something missing.

“Others who had NDE’s seemed to be stuck on the event, whereas, I was focused on what I was supposed to do with what I had learned,” she explained. “Even if I hadn’t been given a message to share, I had received an amazing gift. I KNEW that God was real and that life on planet earth was not the end. I passionately wanted to share that with others. But how do you convey the reality of God and an afterlife without sounding like you’ve dropped your basket? So, I began to study, researching everything I could get my hands on about miraculous healings. And I waited.”

In 2002, doors began to open as Katherine launched new career as an award winning inspirational author. Her first book, A Miracle for St. Cecilia’s (Penguin Publishers) was published in 2001.

With the release of Katherine’s first book, a website was designed and through that, she was finally able to share the two messages with the world God had given her in 1981.

On August 8th, Katherine Valentine will share her incredible story at the Magnificat Prayer Breakfast being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton (formerly Sheraton) in Cranberry Twp from 9 am until noon. Tickets are $20.00. For reservations, call Kay at (724) 772-6749 or register online at magnificatpittsburgh.org.
