Mom Allegedly Planted Drugs In Teen's Backpack
The backpack belonged to her daughter's former friend, according to police.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - A Cranberry woman is facing criminal charges after allegedly attempting to frame a former friend of her daughter as a drug dealer.
The Butler Eagle reported that Traci Pitt, 42, allegedly phoned North Catholic High School last month and told administrators that a 14-year-old student was selling marijuana to other students. A marijuana cigarette was found in the student’s backpack, according to the criminal complaint.
Police contacted the student’s parents, who said that another marijuana cigarette had been found in the family garage last weekend. The student’s mother said she believed Pitt planted the cigarette.
