• Dukes to be sworn in Tuesday (butlereagle.com) — Cranberry Township resident Brandon Dukes will be sworn in Tuesday as the new state representative for the 12th Legislative District, which includes Cranberry and neighboring communities. Elected by a narrow margin in August, he'll finish the current term and then face a rematch in November, giving local voters a direct stake in his short-term performance.
   

• Police reports as of Sept. 3 (butlereagle.com) — Recent police reports include several incidents in and around Cranberry Township, from a DUI stop in the township to a local resident charged with trespassing in nearby Lancaster Township. The blotter also lists drug, DUI, and minor assault cases across neighboring communities, giving residents a snapshot of current law enforcement activity in the wider area.
