Pretzel fans are in luck today.

"As soon as you walk in, we say, 'Here’s your pretzel,'" he said.

And don’t let the Philly Pretzel Factory’s name fool you.

Lest there are any hard feelings remaining from the Pittsburgh Penguins loss last week to the Philadelphia Flyers in the Stanley Club hockey playoffs, Hannigan assures residents the Philly-moniker only describes the figure eight-like shape of the soft pretzel—and not the pretzel itself.

“It’s a style of pretzel,” he said. “It’s not a Philadelphia pretzel.”

In honor of being in Pittsburgh, the company also offers the Steel City-appropriate “rivets,” which are bite-sized soft pretzels.
