Seneca Valley Bids Farewell To 21 Veteran Employees
The district is losing more than 500 years of experience with the retirements.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The Seneca Valley School District bid adieu to 21 employees at a recent retirement reception. Representing teaching, administrative, secretarial, custodial and cafeteria staff, the workers had a combined service of approximately 532 years in the district.
The retirees included:
- Lucy Balzer, Rowan Elementary School, 32 years.
- Roxan Boyd, Haine Middle School, 15.2 years.
- Vince Burgess, Connoquenessing Valley Elementary School, 31.5 years.
- Maryellen Williams Candek, Seneca Valley Middle School, 16 years.
- Jo-Ann Finch, Connoquesnessing Valley Elementary School, 8 years.
- Joanne Geubtner, Haine Elementary School, 29.5 years.
- Alicia Macmillan, Seneca Valley Middle School, 32 years.
- Adele Marks, Haine Elementary School, 38 years.
- Brenda Martin, Seneca Valley Middle School, 28.5 years.
- Barbara McKeown, Intermediate High School, 18 years.
- Amy Nelson, Evans City Middle School, 17 years.
- Faye Parenti, Central Office, 13.38 years.
- Tim Parish, Evans City Middle School, 34 years.
- Deborah Powell, Rowan Elementary School, 30 years.
- Cathy Ratay, Seneca Valley Middle School, 25 years.
- Fred Shoemaker, Seneca Valley Middle School, 31 years.
- Linda Sporrer, Connoquenessing Valley Elementary School, 24 years.
- Mary Tobin, Connoquenessing Valley Elementary School, 30 years.
- Theresa Wolf, Seneca Valley Middle School, 29 years.
- Naomi Yarzebinski, Haine Middle School, 13.8 years.
- Bob Yobp, Central Office, 35.86 years.
