Seneca Valley Elementary Schools Among Pennsylvania's Best, Study Says

All four district elementary schools ranked among the top 500 in the state.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The start of the new school year is a good time to find out how your local elementary schools stack up against others. Seneca Valley School District elementary schools do fine in that regard..

Niche.com, a Pittsburgh-based website that analyzes neighborhoods, school districts and colleges, has released its annual rankings of the best elementary schools in the country and across Pennsylvania. All four Seneca Valley elementary schools were ranked in the top 500 in Pennsylvania - Rowan was 336th, Haine was 344th, Connoquenessing Valley was 378th and Evans City was 430th.

The website says the rankings are based on "rigorous analysis" of key statistics from the U.S. Department of Education, as well as reviews from students and parents. Ranking factors include state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, grade school ratings, and the overall quality of the school district.

According to Niche, the best elementary school in Pennsylvania is Ithan Elementary School in the Radnor Township School District in Delaware County, which also finished in 16th place nationwide.
