Seneca Valley Impressive In Acadamic Decathlon National Event
The team recently competed in Minneapolis.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Seneca Valley High School's academic decathlon team had an impressive showing in the United States Academic Decathlon National Competition held recently in Minneapolis. the team placed 13th out of 82 teams globally, 11th out of 50 U.S. schools and fifth in the large district division.

- Julia Allman - Gold
- Nishant Jayachandran - Silver

Speech:
- Katie Parker - Gold
- Julia Allman - Bronze
At the awards ceremony, only the top three student speech scores were selected to share his/her speech on stage. Senior Katie Parker was selected and had the highest speech score in the competition.

“The team had an amazing time and made unforgettable memories,” Seneca Valley Senior High School Teacher and Academic Decathlon adviser David Reichard said in a statement. “Making it to the USAD National Competition and representing the state of Pennsylvania was a huge accomplishment. The seniors were proud to end their year at nationals and the returning team members look forward to next year.”
