Seneca Valley Students Shine At State Honors Chorus Concert

The event was held recently at Westminster College.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Seneca Valley High School sent 26 students to the recent Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Honors Chorus concert at Westminster College. The 96 students in the PMEA Honors Chorus were selected from auditions held at Westminster in October.

Seneca Valley participants who performed at the festival included Ethan Bannon, Anthony Bayle, Lizzie Bittner, Brittany Brock, Lyndsey Butler, Sammi Carter, Matt Cosco, Cole Eckenrode, Grace Fawcett, Nick Folino, Olivia Forte, Kevin George, Nikki Healy, Ryan Lipscomb, Sarah McKinley, Alex Mortier, Chris Noah, Sam O’Neill, Rachel Palaski, Eli Peel, Jordan Ritchey, Jena Sabol, Jonah Smeltzer, Cassidy Spencer, Riley Surratt and Mark Wimer.

Also, freshman Alex Mortier and sophomore Nick Folino were chosen to sing two of the three solos at the concert.

Over 300 students from Butler, Beaver, Mercer and Lawrence counties auditioned for the choir.
