Ten Thousand Villages Fundraiser Coming to Pittsburgh Area

Adoptions From The Heart is hosting a Ten Thousand Villages Fundraiser to benefit the Birthmother Fund on April 25th

On Saturday, April 25th the Adoptions From The Heart Pittsburgh office will be hosting a fundraiser at Ten Thousand Villages from 4pm – 6pm. When you shop this community event a portion of the sales will be donated to AFTH and their Birthmother Fund. Adoptions From The Heart established the Birthmother Fund to help local women in need who were in need of a little extra financial support after placement. They have seen women thrive and excel in all areas of their lives after being helped through the Birthmother Fund.

With successful partnerships with Ten Thousand Villages in the past, the agency is excited to be hosting an event in the Pittsburgh area. “I genuinely love Ten Thousand Villages and everything they stand for,” Chelsey Phillips, an AFTH social worker, explained. “I have purchased numerous items for myself, friends and family members because I believe it is important for women to help other women all around the world and that is what Ten Thousand Villages stands for- fair trade items that are handmade by other women all over the world.”

When you shop for yourself or for gifts on April 25th, you are giving to the recipient, the artisan, and also the local organization, Adoptions From The Heart.
