The company last year stopped publishing the print edition of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Trib Total Media, which last year discontinued the print edition of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, has put its former printing facility in Thorn Hill Industrial Park on the market.

A brochure from real estate company Colliers International says the asking price for the Newsworks facility at 535 Keystone Drive in Marshall Township near Cranberry is $8.5 million. The property is valued at $7 million, according to Allegheny County assessment records.

When Newsworks opened in 1997 with state-of-the-art printing presses, the company touted the building as a $42 million facility.

Last November, the company halted the printed edition of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review after a 24-year run. Staffers of the Trib’s online website dedicated to covering the city recently moved out of their longtime headquarters in the D.L. Clark Building on the North Shore to an office in Penn Hills.

Trib Total Media still publishes two daily newspapers, the Greensburg Tribune-Review and the Valley News Dispatch based in Tarentum. The company also publishes 14 weekly community newspapers and the Pennysaver.
