
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Two people charged with running a prostitution ring out of a Cranberry hotel in March have been indicted by a federal grand jury on sex trafficking charges.

Oscar Carter III, 34, of Fort Worth, TX, and Shelby S. Brown, 27, of Tulsa, OK, were indicted on charges of interstate transportation of a minor for the purpose of engaging in unlawful sexual activity, conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and sex trafficking of a child.
In March, a 17-year-old female arrested in a Pittsburgh prostitution sting told police she was under Carter’s control. The FBI's human trafficking task force alerted township police, who arrested Carter and Brown in the hotel suite.
The indictment includes a forfeiture request for two laptops, two cell phones and $1,700 in cash.

Carter and Brown remain in the Butler County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
