View Finder: What's Opening in Cranberry Township?

Get the scoop on Cranberry's newest stores.

It wasn’t just flowers that blossomed across the area during the spring. Several new businesses also opened or are just about to open in the Cranberry area.

The Plato’s Closet in the Cranberry Commons shopping center is open to buy gently used clothes only. Owner Tracy West said the store should be open for business by mid-to-late June.

In the same shopping complex, HH Gregg, an appliance and electronic store, had its soft opening May 23. Sales manager Russ Greer said the store’s grand opening on June 9 will include raffle prizes and other giveaways.

Bob Himler opened Artisan Pizza Company on May 4 along Route 228 in Seven Fields. The store specializes in fresh, prepared foods that customers can cook in their own homes.

“This is a new concept for this area,” Himler said. “It’s been going really well.”

Seven Fields Veterinary Hospital on Route 228 opened Wednesday, and owner Dr. Ann Herschl Cirillo said she already had three appointments that day.

At the Oak Tree Place shopping center on Route 19, Pino Gelato, which specializes in Italian gelato recipes, opens today. In the same plaza, Firestone Compete Auto Care, which opened at the beginning of May, will hold its grand opening this weekend.

Prima Yoga, a hot yoga studio on Route 19, is supposed to open within the next month. The former Krispy Kreme Donuts, which closed earlier this year, is now undergoing renovations to become an AT&T store. Another former donuts hot-spot, the old Dunkin Donuts on Route 19, is set to find new life as an AutoZone auto parts store. Cranberry’s Planning Advisory Commission will vote on plans for the new business at Monday’s meeting.
