• Danville pond death investigation closed (northcentralpa.com) — Authorities have closed the investigation into a woman found dead in a pond near Danville Suites and I-80 West, determining her death was accidental and not suspicious. State police from Milton and the Montour County Coroner identified her as 73-year-old resident Darlene Swope and have successfully contacted a family member.

• Goldilocks found guilty by St. Cyril preschoolers, kindergarteners (wnep.com) — Young students from St. Cyril’s Preschool and Kindergarten brought a playful mock trial of Goldilocks to the Montour County Courthouse in Danville, learning how courtrooms work by acting as judge, jury, and attorneys. Their brief deliberations ended with a guilty verdict and a creative sentence, all aimed at teaching civic understanding in a fun, memorable way.
