• Rescue Reports Rabies Case in Schuylkill County Cat That Bit Two People, Scratched a Third (skooknews.com) — Residents in Deer Lake are being urged to watch for possible rabies exposure after a stray gray-and-white male cat found in town tested positive and reportedly bit two people and scratched another. Health officials advise anyone who may have contacted the cat to wash wounds immediately, seek urgent medical care, and ensure pets' rabies vaccinations are up to date.
