• Derry softball shows depth in Class 4A 1st-round win over Beaver (triblive.com) — Derry Area High School’s softball team leaned on the bottom of its lineup to upset Beaver, 8-4, in the WPIAL Class 4A first round, marking the program’s third-ever playoff win. Pitcher Haylee Myers and hitters Kamryn Dunlap, Paris Clayton, and Marie Razpotnik powered the Trojans’ comeback, sending Derry into Thursday’s quarterfinal against top-seeded Elizabeth Forward.
