• Downingtown Teen Faces Race to Fund Diabetes Treatment (mychesco.com) — A Downingtown family is racing to raise $45,000 by January so 15-year-old Preston, a Downingtown East student with Type 1 diabetes, can pursue an investigational stem-cell-based therapy before his eligibility window closes. The treatment, offered through a New Jersey clinical trial, is not FDA-approved, but his parents hope it could ease his daily burden of monitoring, injections, and blood-sugar swings.

• LH student wins statewide America250 essay contest (heraldstandard.com) — A Downingtown High School East junior, Ronit Luthra, has been named the top 11th–12th grade writer in U.S. Sen. Dave McCormick's statewide America250 essay contest, earning recognition in the Congressional Record. The contest highlights Pennsylvania's historic role in the nation, and Luthra's win puts Downingtown students on the map alongside peers from across the state.
