2 Drivers Arrested For Suspected DUI In Plumstead Township

Police also cited a Perkasie man for retail theft at the Easton Road Wawa store.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Dec. 1 and Dec. 8:

December 2

  • At 8:52 p.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high speed and drifting between lanes on Swamp Road. Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer identified the driver as a 32-year-old man from Perkasie who showed signs of intoxication (alcohol odor, slurred speech, bloodshot eyes). The man admitted to drinking and was unable to perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested for driving under the influence.

  • At 5:05 p.m., officers responded to a three-vehicle accident on Easton Road. The driver, a 53-year-old man from Pen Argyl, showed signs of impairment (alcohol odor, slurred speech, imbalance). The driver unsuccessfully performed field sobriety tests. He was arrested for driving under the influence, pending blood alcohol test results.

December 6

  • At 11:58 a.m., officers investigated a retail theft incident caught on surveillance at the Wawa store on Easton Road. The suspect, an 18-year-old man from Perkasie, was identified via a license plate and clothing. He was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft.
