The investigation found that three men arrived at the location in a rented vehicle and were dressed as sheriff’s deputies. The men wore masks and claimed to be with the Sheriff’s Department and had a warrant. Armed with a firearm, the men forced their way into the home.
Prosecutors said the men zip tied the victim and moved him to another location in the home. They then stole two firearms, a large quantity of marijuana, $4,000 in currency and miscellaneous clothing items.
The three men fled the home, and the victim was able to call for help. Law enforcement was able to identify two of the three men as Still and Fort. The third man was never identified, and the firearms were never recovered.
The case was investigated by Hilltown Township Detective James Towhey and was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Edward Furman Jr.
