Carjackings In Doylestown, Warrington Lead To 3 Arrests: Police
Police said the victim in Warrington was placed in a choke hold, pulled backwards and punched several times during the carjacking.

WARRINGTON, PA — A Philadelphia man and two juveniles are in police custody and charged with a carjacking in Warrington Township and an attempted carjacking in Doylestown Township.
Just before 7 p.m., Doylestown Township Police were dispatched to the Shell gas station located at 1807 S. Easton Road for the report of an attempted carjacking.
Police said the victim was beginning to pump gas when they were approached by three young black males who ordered the victim to turn over their keys. After they attempted to physically restrain the victim, police said the victim broke free and ran inside the gas station for help.

Witnesses told police that they saw three young black males walking south on Easton Road in the area of Warrington Township.
At approximately 8 p.m., Warrington Township Police were dispatched to the Luk Oil gas station located at 1400 Easton Road for the report of a carjacking.

The victim told police they were beginning to pump gas when they were approached by a young black male, later identified as a juvenile. At the same time, two other young black males approached the victim from behind, later identified as another juvenile and Zahir Johnson of Philadelphia.
Police said the victim was placed in a choke hold, pulled backwards and punched several times. At that point, police said the victim threw the keys at the vehicle and both juveniles and Zahir Johnson fled the scene in the victim's vehicle.
Warrington Police subsequently observed the vehicle with the three suspects near the intersection of Route 202 and Route 152, a few miles from the Luk Oil gas station. When police initiated a traffic stop, the vehicle fled.
Police followed the last known direction of the vehicle and found that the vehicle had crashed into a building at the intersection of Route 152 and E. Butler Avenue in Chalfont.
All three subjects had fled the vehicle, but were quickly taken into custody after they were tracked down by Warrington Corporal Blanchard with K-9 Jolie.
Zahir Johnson, 21, of Philadelphia, was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail of 10 percent of $500,000. Two juveniles involved in the incident were placed in juvenile detention.
Johnson is being charged by Warrington Township Police with robbery of a motor vehicle, robbery, theft by unlawful taking-movable property, unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles and simple assault.
