[Buckingham, PA] – [August 28th] – This fall, prepare for a whirlwind of laughter and suspense as the classic thriller "The 39 Steps" makes its way to the Town and Country Players’ stage. Based on John Buchan's 1915 novel and Alfred Hitchcock's iconic film, this side-splitting adaptation brings a fresh twist to a beloved story.

The play, adapted by Patrick Barlow, is a fast-paced, comedic romp featuring a cast of four actors who take on over 150 roles in a zany, theatrical tour de force. When ordinary man Richard Hannay is caught up in a thrilling spy conspiracy, audiences will be on the edge of their seats, trying not to miss a single laugh-out-loud moment.

In continuing their “Year of Women,” a particularly special season for Town & Country Players as it is the first in their 77-year history where all of their directors and producers are women, T&C’s production of “The 39 Steps” is directed by Susan Galli, and produced by Suzanne Ardite. Starring Jeremy Weir (Richard Hannay), Kellie Zappala (Annabella Schmidt/Margaret/Pamela), Riley Frankhouser (Clown), and Matthew Thompson (Clown), this talented cast is excited to bring their unique vision to this thrilling comedy.
