5 Central Bucks Graduates Receive Scholarships From Village Improvement Association
Congrats to these local students!

The three recipients of the Village Improvement Association's $2,000 Hannah Pollock-Laura Haddock Scholarships were recently announced:
The winners are:
- Alekhya Gunturi, a Central Bucks High School East graduate, who will attend Boston University to pursue an accelerated medical degree program.
- Samuel Omesi, a Central Bucks High School West graduate, who will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Honors Program to major in biology.
- Jack Traina, a Central Bucks High School West graduate, who will attend Harvard University with undergraduate plans of combining neuroscience and economics.
Also, for the sixth year, the family of the late Ruth Boland, a former VIA President and nurse, have funded the VIA Ruth Boland Memorial Nursing Scholarship. A second Boland Nursing Scholarship was funded by the Grasmeder Family.

The two $2,000 awards were presented to:
- Anthony Scarpone-Lambert, a Central Bucks High School South graduate, who will attend the University of Pennsylvania.
- Aaron Wasser, a Central Bucks High School East graduate, who will begin pursuit of a BSN at Temple University’s College of Public Health.
