BUCKS COUNTY, PA — All the fun and excitement of a Bucks County weekend is just ahead and the weather is forecast to be picture-perfect for all your outdoor plans.
Headlining the fun this weekend are two annual spring traditions - Newtown Welcome Day and the Bucks Beautiful Kitchen and Garden Tour - two great ways to get outside, move around, and enjoy the weather.
Nicknamed "the Street Fair With Flair," Welcome Day unfolds on Sunday, June 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Sycamore Street between Jefferson Street and Durham Road in Newtown. The event features more than 150 vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, fun for the kids, and the perfect reason to get out and enjoy the weather.

The annual Bucks Beautiful Kitchen and Garden Tour also takes place on Sunday, June 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour will showcase six kitchens and gardens at selected homes in and around Doylestown and the surrounding areas.
For those who are looking for a touch of culture and would prefer an air-conditioned location, Dance Del Bello may hold the ticket for you with a witty and charming ballet about mischief, lovers, an eccentric toy maker, and his dolls. The show takes place on Sunday at the Newtown campus of the Bucks County Community College.

Welcome Day To Bring "Street Fair With Flair" To Newtown
Newtown’s "street fair with flair" returns on Sunday, June 9 with a day packed with family fun, food, and live entertainment.“Newtown Welcome Day,” presented by Capital Health and organized by the Newtown Business Association, will unfold along Sycamore Street between Jefferson Street and Durham Road from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine.
According to organizers, the day will bring "a delightful experience for all ages" to the street with a variety of activities, including food from local eateries, free entertainment, and fun for the kids.
At the heart of it all will be more than 150 vendors setting up shop along Sycamore featuring arts, crafts, and spotlighting Newtown businesses.

Kitchen And Garden Tour To Explore Bucks Hidden Gems
The 29th Bucks Beautiful Kitchen & Garden Tour also takes place on Sunday, June 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine. The popular self-guided event will showcase kitchens and gardens from six selected homes in and around Doylestown and the surrounding areas.
Six properties are featured on this year’s tour including a renowned local architect’s residence and gardens; a completely renovated home by Brett King Builders; a quaint Victorian with landscape design by Philadelphia Flower Show award-winner Mark Cook; and an octagonal house on five lush acres featuring a multi-million-dollar exterior.
Proceeds benefit reforestation, beautification and educational projects county-wide.

Newtown Theatre Presents “Tapestry: The Carole King Songbook”
“Tapestry: The Carole King Songbook” returns to the historic Newtown Theatre on Saturday, June 8 at 3 and 8 p.m. Both shows sold out in 2023.
Featuring Suzanne O. Davis and her band, the show presents the complete “Tapestry” album, along with many 1960s hits from the Broadway smash musical, “Beautiful," including songs by the Beatles, Aretha Franklin, James Taylor, The Shirelles, The Monkees and more.
Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com for $42 per person or $37 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $52 at the door on the day of the show (if available). All seating is general admission.

Dance Del Bello Bringing Witty, Charming Ballet To Bucks
Dance Del Bello will present the ballet “Coppelia" at the Zlock Performing Arts Center at the Bucks County Community College on Sunday afternoon, June 9 at 3 p.m.The production, directed by founder Delphine Del Bello Spencer, features the company of professional dancers and students from the Pennsylvania Dance Institute, the official school of Dance Del Bello.
A witty and charming ballet about mischief, lovers, an eccentric toy maker and his dolls, Coppelia warms hearts with its comedy and charm as the audience follows the antics of the vibrant and mischievous Swanilda, her wavering and flirtatious lover, Franz, and toy maker Dr. Coppelius.

Sesame Place Introduces 'Low-Sensory Days'
Sesame Place Philadelphia is introducing "Low Sensory Days" this month with the first one starting Sunday, June 9.
The amusement park at 100 Sesame Place Rd. in Langhorne is expanding its accessibility program this June by adding "Low Sensory Days" on Sunday, June 9 and Sunday, June 23, to create a more inclusive in-park experience.
Traditionally high-sensory experiences at the park will be altered to make them more accessible to those who require or prefer low-sensory experiences.
Sesame Place Philadelphia is designated as a Certified Autism Center by the International Board of Credentialing and Continued Education Standards (IBCCES), and recently completed its renewal, recommitting to enhancing accessibility for guests.
