6 Drivers Arrested For DUI: Central Bucks Regional Police Report

The department reported the following incidents and arrests between Feb. 1 and Feb. 25.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Feb. 1 and Feb. 25.

February 1

  • A 19-year-old Doylestown resident and 18-year-old New Britain resident were cited for an ordinance violation at the Doylestown Wawa, 425 South Main Street, after police detected an odor or marijuana coming from a parked occupied vehicle. Citations were filed.

  • An 18-year-old from Laurel, Delaware, was cited for underage drinking and public drunkeness at 458 East Butler Avenue, New Britain, following officer response to a suspicious subject. The teen presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage, unsteady gait, and slurred speech. Citations were filed.

February 4

  • A Chalfont man was cited for public drunkenness at 565 North Main Street in Doylestown Borough following police response for a disorderly person trying to engage in a fight with others. He presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage, slurred speech, and unsteady gait. A citation was filed.
  • A 26-year-old Chalfont man was cited for public urination at 12 North Main Street, Doylestown Borough.
  • Three Lansdale residents were cited for disorderly conduct following officer response to a fight at 37 North Main Street, Doylestown Borough.
  • A Hatfield man was arrested for DUI and other charges following police response for a well being check on a disabled vehicle on West Butler Avenue and Bristol Road, New Britain Borough. The man's vehicle was 50+ feet off the roadway and stuck on the railroad tracks. Trains were temporarily suspended. He presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage, slurred speech, and bloodshot glassy eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered with subsequent legal blood draw at Doylestown Hospital. A criminal complaint has been filed.
  • A 22 year-old from Philadelphia was cited for disorderly conduct following police response to a physical altercation breaking out in a small crowd at North Main and State Streets, Doylestown Borough. Police observed the man punch another person. A citation was filed.

February 9

  • At 425 S. Main Street (Wawa), Doylestown Borough, a 73-year-old Furlong man was arrested for retail theft following officer response to a theft report. He was taken into custody, arraigned, bail set at $5,000 unsecured. He was remanded to Bucks County Prison on other outstanding charges.
  • A 65-year-old Doylestown man was arrested for DUI and other charges following police response to a one-vehicle accident into a PECO pole on Jan. 21 at Doyle and N. Broad Streets, Doylestown Borough. He was transported for medical evaluation and legal blood draw. A criminal complaint was filed.

February 10

  • A 23-year-old from Warminster was arrested for DUI and traffic offenses following a traffic stop for erratic driving at Butler Avenue and Iron Hill Road, New Britain Borough. He presented with glassy eyes, unsteady gait, and an odor of alcoholic beverage. Field sobriety tests were administered with subsequent legal blood draw at Doylestown Hospital. A criminal complaint has been filed.
  • A 47-year-old Doylestown man was cited for public drunkenness at 37 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough after police responded to an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance. A citation was filed.

February 11

  • A 73-year-old man from Doylestown was arrested for DUI and other charges at Main Street and Hart Avenue, Doylestown Borough following a traffic stop for erratic driving. He presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, glassy eyes. Legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital. A criminal complaint was filed.

February 14

  • Michael Phillip Martelli, 31, of Doylestown, was arrested for deceptive business practices. Martelli, the owner of Martelli’s Construction Company, entered into a contract with the owner of Penn Tap Room on Feb. 23, 2023 to replace windows. At that time, a deposit was given in the amount of $9,688. As of Feb. 8, 2024 no work had been completed and attempts to reach Martelli failed. Martelli was arraigned, bail set at $10,000 unsecured and he was released.

February 16

  • A North Wales man, 29, was arrested for DUI and other charges following a traffic stop for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. He presented with a strong odor of alcoholic beverage, bloodshot and glassy eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered with subsequent legal blood draw at Doylestown Hospital. A criminal complaint was filed.

February 20

  • A Doylestown man was cited for allowing his large dog to repeatedly run through Doyle Street, Doylestown Borough unleashed. A citation was filed.

February 22

  • A Perkasie man was cited for disorderly conduct and hazardous physical offense following an escalating verbal altercation in the parking lot with another parked vehicle occupant on Feb. 8 at 480 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough.

February 24

  • A 27-year-old with no fixed abode, was arrested for defiant trespass following police response for an unwanted subject at 194 W. Butler Avenue (Shell Gas Station), New Britain Borough. He was warned by police the previous night not to return.

February 25

  • A Warrington man was cited for public urination in Doylestown Borough. A citation was filed.
  • A Doylestown man was arrested for DUI and other charges following police response to a vehicle on the railroad tracks in the area of W. Butler Avenue and Bristol Road, New Britain Borough. Trains were temporarily suspended. He presented with a strong odor of alcohol. Chal-Brit Ambulance responded for medical evaluation and transport to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. A citation was filed.

Crime and Other Incidents

  • On Feb. 1, a theft was reported at 259 Veterans Lane, Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole multiple tools, totaling more than $2,700 from a trailer parked at a construction site.
  • On Feb. 6, a theft was reported at 375 W. Court Street (CB West), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole a wallet from an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot.
  • On Feb. 9, a theft was reported in the 200 block of Shewell Avenue, Doylestown Borough. Unknown person stole an Amazon package from resident’s porch.
  • On Feb. 15, a theft was reported in the 100 block of W. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole registration plate from vehicle.
  • On Feb. 19, a theft was reported at the Wawa store, 425 South Main Street. Unknown person stole products from the store.
