DOYLESTOWN, PA — Construction of one of the largest mixed use projects in recent borough history continues at the site of the former Intelligencer Newspaper building at North Broad Street and Atkinson Drive.

The redevelopment project by Villanova-based Cornerstore Tracy, LLC, got underway a year ago at the seven-and-a-half acre site, which is located just north of Broad Commons Park.

Construction crews were seen working over the weekend at the site, which will bring 10,000 square feet of new retail and office space to the North Broad Street corridor along with 233 market rate apartments.

Part of the project includes traffic improvements in the area, including the addition of a new signal at the Broad Street and Atkinson Drive intersection.

The $77 million project, designed by Bernardon, includes separate multi-story buildings, 200 parking spaces, two interior courtyards with outdoor kitchen and pool, a rooftop terrace and a new park and walking trails.
