“Like her, I too started my professional career as an administrative assistant and was a single mom by that point, and I know personally all too well the struggle to get the business to take you or your ideas seriously when you are in that type of position. Fast forward 20 years, and achieving my MBA, and I am in the executive role now. Having that personal experience colors my portrayal of Violet,” says Fowler.
Cara Cirillo, who plays Doralee, adds, “This story is so relatable and really very timeless. The way the boss treats the employees still happens today and I know so many people can relate to the characters, wanting to take over and make things better at work, wanting to be understood, wanting to belong and be accepted.”
With witty dialogue, hilarious situations, and unforgettable characters, "9 to 5: The Musical" promises an evening of laughter and joy.
