Adoption Day Program At Bucks County Adminstration Building

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Bucks County's Clerk of Orphan's Court Linda Bobrin will host her third Adoption Day program from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2 at the Bucks County Administrative Building.

Following two successful previous programs, this year’s Adoption Day will feature speakers sharing messages about the important role adoption plays in our community and the role it has played in their own lives.

This year Bobrin has chosen to honor the Bucks County Department of Children and Youth for their work protecting and caring for children.

"The Bucks County Children and Youth employees work tirelessly to protect children from abuse and neglect and to help them to remain safely in their homes," she said. "They will also speak about alternatives such as foster care and adoption, both from the perspective of the process of adoptions as well as their role in adoption searches for birth families."

Participants in this year’s program will include Bucks County Commissioner Gene DiGirolamo, State Senator Steve Santarsiero as well as speakers from Bucks County Children and Youth.

Adoptees and identical twins Molly Sinert and Emily Bushnell will also share their story of being separated as infants and reunited 36 years later.

The event will feature live music by jazz musician Mervin Toussaint and performances by Neil Schnitzer and Bucks County Treasurer Kris Ballerini. Refreshments will be served following the program courtesy of Huntingdon Valley Bank.
