Aggravated Assault, DUI Arrests: Central Bucks Regional Police Report
Police also made arrests for retail thefts and drug possession and issued citations for public urination and public drunkenness.
DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests during April:
April 3
- 625 N. Main Street (Main Street Inn), Doylestown Borough. A 38-year-old woman from Doylestown was arrested for receiving stolen property after officers observed suspicious activity in the parking lot and found her in possession of a stolen vehicle. She was arraigned, bail set at $10,000 unsecured with conditions, and released.

- W. Ashland Street, Doylestown Borough. A 46-year-old woman from Doylestown was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop for driving on the wrong side of the roadway and striking multiple vehicles. She presented with lethargic/uncoordinated movements, an odor of alcoholic beverage, and an unsteady gait. After failing to complete field sobriety tests, she was taken to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw.
- W. State Street, Doylestown Borough. A 21-year-old man from Perkasie and a 22-year-old man from Chalfont were cited for urinating in public in separate incidents during the evening hours.
April 11
- 625 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 35-year-old man from Dublin was arrested for drug violations after officers investigated a missing person on behalf of another agency. The man was found in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle. He presented as lethargic, with extremely bloodshot eyes and had difficulty staying awake. Central Bucks EMS responded to provide medical attention. Police said he had several bags of illegal narcotics.
April 12

- 425 S. Main Street (Wawa), Doylestown Borough. A 21-year-old man from Levittown was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana following a traffic stop for non-illuminated lights. He was a passenger in the vehicle.
April 14
- N. Main Street and Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough. A 22-year-old man from Birdsboro was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop for lights not being illuminated during a period when required. Police said the driver was slow to respond to the officer and presented with an unsteady gait. After failing field sobriety tests, he was taken to Doylestown Hospital for a blood draw.
- 460 E. Butler Avenue (Deliza Pizza), New Britain Borough. Panajotis Tafa, 18, of Doylestown, turned himself in on an active arrest warrant for aggravated assault at Deliza Pizza. Police said after Tafa and a juvenile entered the restaurant, the juvenile got into an argument with an employee, walked behind the counter and punched an employee who pushed the juvenile to the ground. Police said a second employee was injured when he attempted to prevent Tafa from attacking the first victim with a knife. A juvenile allegation has been filed for the juvenile offender. Tafa was arraigned, bail set at 10 percent of $50,000 and he was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
April 15
- Homestead and Timothy Drives, Doylestown Borough. A 36-year-old man from Langhorne was cited for public drunkenness after officers were dispatched for a well-being check. The man was found sleeping on the ground and was unresponsive. Central Bucks EMS was summoned for medical attention and the man eventually responded.
April 16
- 200 Town Center, New Britain Borough. A 26-year-old woman, a 24-year-old woman, and a 22-year-old woman, all from Philadelphia, were arrested for stealing $390 worth of merchandise from the Giant store on April 4. The 26-year-old was already incarcerated on other charges with an active warrant. The 24-year-old turned herself in to police on April 16 on an active warrant. An active warrant has been issued for the 22-year-old.
April 17
- S. Main Street and Oakland Avenue, Doylestown Borough. A 38-year-old man from Warrington was arrested for DUI and drug violations following a traffic stop for erratic driving and proceeding the wrong way on a one-way street. Police said his behaviors were erratic and he presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage. He failed field sobriety tests and refused a legal blood draw. He was transported to Doylestown Hospital for medical attention.
April 21
- 18 W. State Street, Doylestown Borough. A 22-year-old man from Warminster was cited for public urination.
April 29
- 14 W. State Street, Doylestown Borough. A 49-year-old man was cited for simple trespassing after police responded to the report of an unknown suspicious person leaving an apartment. Upon police arrival, the man was located outside the building and admitted to entering the apartment illegally. Nothing was reported damaged or stolen.
April 30
- Sandy Ridge and Broadale Roads, Doylestown Borough. A 22-year-old man from West Haven, Utah, was cited for soliciting without a permit on behalf of Greenix.
Crime and other incidents
April 11
- 700 E. Butler Avenue (Delaware Valley University), New Britain Borough. An unknown person(s) started a fire inside a recycle bin located inside a dormitory hall.
April 12
- E. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown Borough. An unknown person stole a Fed Ex package from the porch of a residence.
