BUCKS COUNTY, PA — With Mother's Day coming up on Sunday, there's no shortage of ways to celebrate her special weekend.
Delicious brunches abound at restaurants throughout Bucks County. And don't miss the many special shopping events and plant sales taking place, like the Mother's Day Market in Dublin Borough and the plant sale in Wrightstown.
You can also take mom on a stroll through Peddler's Village and vote for your favorite birdhouses. Public voting on this year's "im-peck-able" collection of birdhouses continues through Sunday at the village's "Best Of The Nest" exhibit.

Bucks County Playhouse is staging a new production of Tennessee Williams’ “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning American classic, through May 23 at the iconic New Hope theater. Directed by Eric Rosen, the new staging brings one of the most passionate dramas of the American theatre thrillingly to life. A battle of wills ensues as a rich Southern family wars over the family fortune. “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” is a succession drama exploding like the fireworks celebrating Big Daddy’s 65th birthday – one that may be his last.

The Craftery Market is bringing back its Mother’s Day Market at The Square at 123 North Main Street in Dublin Borough. Seventy vendors will be setting up shop on the Square on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shoppers will discover carefully curated, artisan handmade goods, antique and vintage treasures, original art, and more, all alongside live music.

Sesame Place’s annual Mother’s Day Celebration returns with fun-filled ways to celebrate Mom this weekend. The festivities include the Furry Friends “Mommy & Me” Dance Party, a Mother’s Day craft, and the Mother’s Day Dine with Elmo & Friends. Meanwhile, crime-fighting superheroes Catboy, Owelette, and Gekko from PJ Masks will strike a super pose at Meet & Greets throughout the weekend.

Public voting continues through Mother's Day for the "Best Of the Nest" at Peddler's Village in Lahaska. "Stroll through the village and view more than 50 incredible birdhouses all handmade by local residents," the village posted on Facebook. The "im-peck-able" outdoor display of homemade birdhouses is on display through May 25. Presented in partnership with AIA Bucks County and the Honey Hollow Nature Center, the display celebrates nature, habitats, feathered friends and human creativity.

Gardeners, nature enthusiasts, and community members are invited to attend this weekend's "Go Native Plant Sale," hosted by the Penn State Master Watershed Stewards of Bucks County. The event offers a carefully curated selection of native perennial plants, ideal for enhancing local landscapes while supporting regional ecosystems. The sale will take place on Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will be held indoors at Penn State Extension Bucks County located at the Grange Fairgrounds on Penns Park Road in Wrightstown.
