BUCKS COUNTY, PA — For the second year, a Bucks County candy store has been nominated as one of the best in the nation by an expert panel assembled by USA Today.
Meanwhile, a Doylestown automotive dealership has been recognized with a "Mark of Excellence," a Lower Bucks ice cream store has announced a rebranding with a new name and logo, and a popular riverfront restaurant is stirring up pride with three limited-time cocktails in New Hope.

For the second year, Skip's Candy Corner in Peddler's Village has been nominated as one of the best candy stores in the nation by USA Today. Twenty shops from across the nation, including Skip's, have been nominated by USA Today's panel of experts for the People's Choice Awards, which will be determined by online voting.

Fred Beans Chevrolet of Doylestown has been recognized as one of the nation’s top-performing Chevrolet dealerships, earning a 2025 Mark of Excellence Plaque. The Mark of Excellence Plaque signals that a Chevrolet dealership has met General Motors’ highest standards for brand representation, retail sales and customer service.

After 14 years, the Naked Brewing Company will be shutting down operations in Bucks and Montgomery counties. The company said its Bristol Borough Taproom on Mill Street— which opened six years ago — will close at the end of June. Meanwhile, its Huntingdon Valley location will remain open on weekends until the end of the year.

The former Brodie's Ice Cream Bar in Bensalem is making a comeback. The popular longtime Bensalem Boulevard ice cream shop has rebranded with a new name and will be opening soon to serve its signature ice cream flavors and bring smiles once again to the community. Brodie's has been renamed as Bucks Cow-nty Ice Cream, and its owners said that an opening date is planned soon.

Dharma Bums in Point Pleasant will begin serving brunch this weekend, adding new dishes and cocktails while opening earlier on Saturdays and Sundays. According to owner Stephen Trachtenberg, the nationally acclaimed, award-winning vegetarian restaurant will open at 11 a.m. both days and offer brunch until 3 p.m.

Stella of New Hope is stirring up pride with a vibrant lineup of limited-edition cocktails as part of New Hope Celebrates "Best Cocktail Contest." Available now through May 24, this year’s featured cocktails include: Pink Pony Club; One Time, at Band Camp; and A Fruity Pebble.
