Road, Utility Projects To Impact Traffic In Doylestown

Repaving project continues overnight on East and West State Streets; utility work expected to begin on Tuesday in Doylestown Borough.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Motorists are advised of the following road projects in the Doylestown area that may impact their travels. Two major projects are scheduled this week including the nightly repaving of State Street and the start of PECO utility construction work on Tuesday.

Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.

Doylestown Borough PECO Utility Work

Beginning on Tuesday, PECO Energy will be conducting street work along sections of State and Main streets in Doylestown Borough. Drivers are advised that State and Main will be closed and detoured one section at a time, beginning Tuesday, August 4, and continuing through Friday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the following locations:

Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas or along the detour routes because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

Doylestown Township Utility Work

Daytime lane closures are scheduled on Bristol Road in Doylestown and Warrington Townships between the U.S. 202 Parkway and Tradesville Drive. PECO is scheduled to conduct utility construction with lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
