BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Two local Inns - the Inn at Bowman's Hill in Bucks County and the Woolverton Inn in Hunterdon County, New Jersey- have been nominated as finalists in Select Registry's 2026 national Craft Lodging Awards.

In other business news, the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce has announced its relocation to the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center in Doylestown.

And this weekend is the final one for a Bucks County arcade, which will shut down after one more day of gaming on Monday.

Inns Nominated For National Lodging Awards

A Bucks County Bed and Breakfast and a New Jersey Inn have been nominated as finalists in Select Registry's 2026 Craft Lodging Awards. Presented annually, the Craft Lodging Awards celebrate the independent innkeepers, hoteliers, and hospitality teams whose dedication, creativity, and commitment to excellence elevate the guest experience and embody the values of Select Registry.

Central Bucks Chamber Relocates Offices

The Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce has relocated its headquarters to the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center (PABC) in Doylestown. Led by Theresa M. Fera, president and CEO, the Chamber of Commerce had been operating in an office complex not far from the PABC campus on Old Easton Road, adjacent to the airport.

On Monday, It's Game Over For Retro Arcade

After one final weekend, it will be game over for the Game Is Afoot Arcade at Warrington Crossing Plaza. "We are open Friday through Monday. We close for good at the end of Monday, August 31 - one last chance to play your favorite game and say goodbye," the owners posted on Facebook. The arcade announced earlier this summer that they would be closing their doors after 11 years of gaming fun.

Joshua Bishop Named Farmer Of The Year

Plumstead Township dairy farmer Joshua Bishop has been named the winner of this year's Fred Groshens Bucks County Farmer of the Year Award presented by the Bucks County Conservation District. Representatives from the Bucks County Conservation District were at the Middletown Grange Fair, where they presented the family with a proclamation from the Bucks County Commissioners and an aerial photograph of the farm.

Rita's Offering Back-To-School Special

Bucks County-based Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard is offering a Back-To-School special promotion. Rita's Italian Ice app users who purchase a small frozen custard cone can get a free small Italian Ice per app account at participating Rita's shops nationwide while supplies last.
