BUCKS COUNTY, PA — LaScala Restaurant Group will be bringing its "Fire" concept restaurant to Bucks County this fall. On Wednesday, the group won conditional use approval to open an Italian restaurant at the Village at Newtown.

The LaScala Restaurant Group is bringing its "Fire" concept to the Village at Newtown this fall. On Wednesday, the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors gave the restaurant group conditional use approval to open at the shopping center when Ardana Food and Drink closes in early October. The South Jersey restaurant group, not affiliated with Newtown's LaStalla Restaurant, acquired the space in August from Ardana, which will be closing its doors on October 10.

Gasper Exterior Furnishings Studio in Furlong has won its fourth Apollo Award for retail excellence. The award was presented at the ICFA Awards Gala in Atlanta, Ga. The Exterior Furnishings Studio at 760 York Road, one of Gasper's four premier outdoor living divisions, won its first Apollo Award in 2020 for a single store location, and the award for multi-store locations in 2023, 2025, and now 2026.

Two new businesses will celebrate their grand opening on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. with a double ribbon-cutting at the Richboro Center on Bustleton Pike. The Northampton Township Business & Professional Association will officially welcome Cigar Cigars and Nailtopia Richboro to the business community. The public is invited to meet the owners and staff, tour both businesses, mingle with fellow community members, and help welcome them to town.

Thompson Toyota will kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with "Sign and Shine" on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The evening of community, reflection and hope will celebrate the ninth year of Main St., a Doylestown-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting patients fighting breast cancer. The event will feature the presentation of the Sandy Roberts Earth Angel Award & Sign & Shine with Luminaries. The public is invited to "Sign the Wall" with a message of support, hope, or remembrance for those affected by breast cancer. Also featured will be musical performances by Rebekah Massey on harp and Nook, Nook Music School. The event is free and open to the public.

Fred Beans Automotive Group has expanded its operations in Doylestown with the purchase of Bergey's Tire & Auto Service Center, which will soon be converted into a Fred Beans Commercial Truck Center. Following renovations, the anticipated opening is late 2027. This new Commercial Truck Center will become a resource for commercial vehicle owners to better service their fleets. Fred Beans will achieve faster turnaround times for servicing commercial trucks by constructing a dedicated space with larger bays for technicians to work.
