BUCKS COUNTY, PA — After last week's rainout, this weekend is looking more promising for a full schedule of events around Bucks County.
Saturday appears to be the best day of the weekend with partly sunny and less humid conditions. The forecast for Sunday remains iffy, with cloudy and cooler temperatures and "a touch of rain" in the afternoon.
Doylestown Porchfest is returning on Saturday for its second year with 90 musicians and bands performing throughout town on 28 porches.
Meanwhile, Newtown historians will be turning back the clock to Colonial times for its popular Market Day celebration on Saturday. The family-friendly event will unfold on the historic streets of town with 90 vendors, food trucks, re-enactments, Colonial fun, and more.
And don't miss the Wrightstown Farmers Market, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary Saturday morning.
The fun continues on Sunday with Northampton Day and the 9-11 Heroes Run in Doylestown.

The 2nd Annual Doylestown Porchfest is coming to a porch near you on Saturday. Promising to be bigger and better than last year, the free, family- and pet-friendly event will again transform the charming porches of Doylestown Borough into mini-stages for an afternoon of live music. From noon to 6 p.m., 28 porches throughout town will come alive with performances by about 90 musicians and bands.
Doylestown will turn porches into stages on Saturday when it presents its second "Porchfest 2026."
Market Day returns to historic Newtown on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Held on the streets around the historic Half-Moon Inn (Court Street and Centre Avenue), the free, family-friendly event will feature 90 artisans and craftspeople selling their wares in an immersive experience reminiscent of Newtown's early days. The day will also be filled with live music, food, and a wide range of colonial activities such as historic reenactments, puppet shows, candle making, hayrides, and craft demonstrations.

The Wrightstown Farmers Market will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday with a Harvest Festival from 9 a.m. to noon on the grounds of the Middletown Grange Fair on Penns Park Road. The festival will open at 9 a.m. with a welcome ceremony followed by a veggie costume parade with prizes at 9:45 a.m., and a pie tasting contest at 10 a.m. The events are free and open to the public.
The Dublin Town Center is teaming up with The Craftery Market for Apple Fest, a day long celebration featuring local vendors, live music, and lots of apple-themed food and drinks. The festival takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dublin Town Center in the heart of Dublin Borough.

This Sunday, nearly 2,000 people will fill War Memorial Field in Doylestown for the final 9/11 Heroes Run of 2026, bringing the nationwide race series back to where it all began: the hometown of fallen Marine 1st Lt Travis Manion. Twenty-five years after 9/11, the Doylestown race will close out this year's series hosted by the Travis Manion Foundation in more than 100 communities across the country. The race was launched in Doylestown following Travis' death in Iraq in 2007 and has since grown into a national event honoring those lost on September 11 and the service and sacrifice that followed.

The 28th Annual Northampton Day Festival unfolds on Sunday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the former Richboro Middle School at 98 Upper Holland Road across the street from the Northampton Library and the Northampton Senior Center. "We hope to see you on Sunday, October 4 for this fantastic community event," said John Bishop, who detailed the day's events and activities at the September meeting of the Northampton Township Board of Supervisors.
