WARRINGTON, PA — The BCWSA Utility Services (BCWSA) Board of Directors has approved its 2027 water and sewer budgets, keeping rates unchanged for customers of both utilities next year.
The combined 2027 operating budgets for BCWSA's water and sewer systems total $102.2 million, with sewer operations representing most of the expenditures.
The budget includes BCWSA's ongoing investments to reduce inflow and infiltration by identifying and repairing leaks and other points where groundwater and stormwater enter the sanitary sewer system. The work has included inspecting sewer lines, repairing and replacing aging infrastructure, monitoring sewer flows, and improving the Neshaminy Interceptor.
In addition, BCWSA's investments will continue to maintain the highest quality drinking water, including its well sites in New Hope Borough and Solebury Township.
The authority said it has made "significant progress" in addressing PFAS, commonly known as "forever chemicals," with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection testing results showing substantial declines in PFAS concentrations over the past two years.
The authority is one of the largest water and sewer authorities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, providing water and sewer services to more than 100,000 households, business accounts, and some 525,000 people in the southeastern Pennsylvania region. It serves the following Bucks County municipalities:

The authority also maintains more than 100 pumping stations, 1,200 miles of piping, and four treatment plants.
