Armed Man Arrested After Early-Morning Gunfire: Plumstead Police

Police say Rocco Mastropieri was armed with multiple firearms when police located him off Durham Road in Plumstead Township.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA -- A 25-year-old Pipersville man has been arrested after police say he fired shots off Durham Road and was later found by Plumstead police with "multiple firearms."

Nicholas “Rocco” Mastropieri, 25, has been charged with possessing instruments of crime, reckless endangerment and related charges after the incident on Jan. 15. According to police, at around 2:30 a.m., Plumstead officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of Durham Road after multiple calls from residents who said they heard gun fire in the area.

Upon arrival, Plumstead officers located Mastropieri. He was allegedly drunk and armed with multiple firearms while walking on the roadway, police said.

Mastropieri has been charged with three counts of possessing instruments of crime, one count of recklessly endangering another person, one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and one count of public drunkenness.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Bucks County Prison on $250,000 bail.

Mastropieri is currently awaiting his preliminary hearing.
