Arrests Made For Assaults, DUI: Central Bucks Regional Police Report

Screaming woman taken into custody; police issue citations for harassment, disorderly conduct.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Feb. 13 and 27:

February 13

  • A 62-year-old man was cited for harassment on Old Dublin Pike in Doylestown Borough. The victim stated that a verbal argument turned physical and the man had punched them in the face and shoulder. A citation was issued.

  • A 25-year-old woman was charged with aggravated assault following an investigation into an assault that occurred in November 2022 on E. Butler Avenue, New Britain Borough. The victim sustained injuries while protecting another person from the assailant. The woman was processed and arraigned, bail was set at $20,000 unsecured and she was released.
  • A 49-year-old man from Bellmawr, New Jersey, was charged with DUI on E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough. Police witnessed the vehicle hit a curb and conducted a traffic stop. The man presented with bloodshot glassy eyes, slurred speech, a strong odor of alcohol, and failed field sobriety tests. He was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw and then taken into custody, processed, and released.

February 18

  • A 21-year-old Warminster man and a 22 year old Robbinsville, N.J. man were cited for disorderly conduct on North Main Street in Doylestown Borough. Police were called to a local establishment for a disorderly person. Police were told by employees that the two men were asked to leave and they had refused. While being escorted out they resisted and caused damage to a stairwell railing. Citations were issued.
  • A 59-year-old Chalfont man was charged with DUI on Patriot Drive in Chalfont Borough. Police responded to a call from a resident that a vehicle was stuck in the mud on their property. Police arrived and found the driver trying to get the vehicle to move. Police said the driver presented with slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and an odor of alcohol. After failed field sobriety tests, the man was taken into custody, processed and released.

February 19

  • A 27-year-old Doylestown man was arrested for assault on N. Main Street in Doylestown Borough. Police were dispatch to a domestic disturbance in the parking lot of a business in Doylestown Borough. Witnesses reported that the man and the victim were arguing when the man punched the victim with a closed fist knocking the victim to the ground. When the victim tried to get up, the man pushed the victim back to the ground. He was arraigned, bail set $10,000 unsecured and released.

February 25

  • A 21-year-old man from Mayfield was charged with disorderly conduct and a weapons charge for an incident on North Main Street in Doylestown Borough. Police witnessed a disturbance on the sidewalk. A security employee stopped the man for leaving with two open alcoholic beverages and asked him to return. The was visibly intoxicated and ignored the requests. As police approached, the security employee was restraining the man and police noticed a firearm tucked in the man’s pants. The man was taken into custody for carrying a loaded firearm without a permit. He was processed and arraigned, bail set at $10,000 unsecured and released.
  • A 36-year-old Collegeville man was charged with harassment by communication following an incident on Green Street in Doylestown Borough. Police said the man was continuously contacting the victim after being asked on numerous occasions to stop. The man was told directly by police to have no further contact, but he then had a well-being check conducted by the PA State Police.

February 26

  • A 22-year-old Lansdale woman was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct on North Main Street in Doylestown Borough. The woman was asked to leave a business after employees witnessed her starting arguments with other patrons. She had to be escorted out after refusing. She continuously tried to re-enter the business and was banging on the door. She also began screaming at the employees before being taken into custody by police. She was processed and released.
  • A 25-year-old woman from Lansdale was charged with assault and harassment for an incident on North Main Street in Doylestown Borough. Police were approached and notified that the woman had punched someone in the face. The victim had blood running from her nose and told police that the attack was unprovoked. The woman was taken into custody, processed, arraigned and bail was set at 10 percent of $15,000. She was remanded to Bucks County Prison.

February 27

  • An 18-year-old Philadelphia man was charged with drug possession on E. Butler Avenue in New Britain Borough. Police stopped the man for a rear taillight violation. The traffic stop resulted in the man indicating to police that he had marijuana in the vehicle. Police took the man into custody. He was processed and released.
